JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Wiring Associate will read/follow the schematics and make the necessary wirings to meet the requirements of a specific controller.
Essential functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Read schematics or manufacturing prints and work orders for product specifications, such as materials and components. Understand and follow any manufacturing processes specified in the documentation.
Calculate length, cut, and connect lead wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points using hand tools or related bonding procedures and equipment.
Verify quality of own work throughout entire assembly process.
Complete work order from start to finish without supervision.
Operate pneumatic tools such as but not limited to drills and heat guns to assist in assembly operations.
Connects wiring and equipment s as per code and specification.
Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners.
Cuts wires to specified lengths using wire cutters.
Provide guidance and assist with on the job training of team members.
Follow instructions and policies relative to quality and quantity work standards.
Ability to communicate well with Production and Engineering departments to ensure a high level of productivity.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and workstations neat;and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Motivated to complete daily tasks in a timely manner and help co-workers when necessary.
Observe safety procedures and report any safety issues.

Ability to read and interpret written orders and specifications, blueprints, instructions and labels, which may contain hazardous warnings and cautions.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.

Work environment
The work occurs in a warehouse setting and requires employees to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
Physical demands
Includes prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Must have the ability to traverse the manufacturing facility. Must wear required eye protection. Ability to differentiate between color wires, tabs, and electric components. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the warehouse.
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift and/or move 30 pounds. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, kneel, crouch, squat, or crawl.
Must be available to work overtime, including Saturdays, if required by the production schedule.
Required education and experience
High School Diploma or GED
1-2 yearsexperience in production, manufacturing, and/or assembly line role.
1-year experience operating hand tools.
Preferred education and experience
3 yearsexperience in production, manufacturing, and/or assembly line role.
