Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quality Manager

Job Summary: The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities related to quality and customer service. This includes overseeing the maintenance and execution of an ISO registered quality management system to ensure product integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Program Execution Support:
1. Coordinate and host audits, including 3rd party certification, customer, suppliers, and regulatory audits.
2. Participate in the initial phases of design and development, ensuring quality requirements are identified and planned for.

Product Continuous Improvement:
1. Lead quality improvement teams, collaborating with various departments to review and enhance the quality management system.
2. Plan and coordinate process and system audits to ensure departmental effectiveness and compliance.
3. Develop and manage internal quality system metrics, monitoring audit performance.
4. Conduct independent evaluations/risk assessments across the development and production lifecycle, driving continuous improvements.

Product Integrity:
1. Develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements and standards for production/manufacturing operations.
2. Serve as the primary quality assurance resource to department supervisors for identifying and resolving problems related to corrective and preventive action systems.
3. Ensure compliance and conformity of products and services provided to customers.
4. Establish and maintain an effective corrective action and preventive action tracking system, ensuring robust responses and timely closure.
5. Collaborate with functional managers across the company to ensure appropriate responses to corrective and preventive action requests.
6. Assist in determining corrective actions for delivered products, including product recalls if required.
7. Oversee the development and distribution of Technical Bulletins resulting from corrective actions.

Process Improvement:
1. Develop, revise, and coordinate changes in Customer Service and Quality system procedures, instructions, and documentation.
2. Improve and deploy Quality Engineering processes, leading projects to enhance key processes.
3. Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action planning, partnering with key stakeholders to improve product quality and process effectiveness.

Required Skills/Abilities:
1. In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, QS 9000, and compliance with industry quality specifications and manufacturing practices.
2. Experience using CORE/Six Sigma practices and methodologies to continuously improve software systems based on Quality

Management System requirements.
3. Familiarity with purchase order requirements and government contract regulations.
4. Experience working as a U.S. Government/DOD contractor is desired.
5. Professional Quality certifications such as ASQ CQE, CMQ/OE, CQA are highly desirable.
6. Proficiency with inventory reporting and MRP systems.
7. Ability and willingness to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced operational environment.
8. Strong ability to define and review quality requirements for program bids and proposals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
1. Lead performance development, coaching, mentoring, recruiting, skills development, and staffing forecasting.
2. Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
3. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, master's degree preferred.
2. 5 to 7 years of managerial experience and 7 to 9 years of individual experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
