Job Description
Quality Inspector 2
Inspect the following for defects and document and report them to the Supervisor:
•Printed Circuit Boards
•Cable Assemblies
•Mechanical Assemblies
Essential functions of the job:
•Inspect SMT solder, components, and polarity
•Inspect Through Hole solder, components, and polarity
•Inspect Cable Assemblies length, crimping, and pin out
•Inspect Mechanical Assemblies Hardware, labeling/marking
•Document defects on applicable forms (Trouble Sheet, etc.)
•Report defects to Supervisor
•Complete applicable forms (Traveler, etc.)
•Assist in the training of Quality Inspector 1 employees
•Lead Quality Control department in the Supervisor’s absence
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
•Read, write, and speak English
•Working knowledge of electronic components
•Read and interpret drawings, BOM’s, work instructions
•Understand and execute instruction from the Supervisor
•Clearly communicate defects on applicable documentation
•Use Vision aids (microscope, ring light, etc.)
Required education and experience:
•Prefer a high school diploma or two years’experience as a Quality inspector in the electronics industry
•IPC-610 (latest revision) with in 1 year of new releases
A description of the physical demands:
•Sufficient eyesight to identify defects using visual aids
•Use microscope for 8-hour shift
•Use ring light for 8-hour shift
•Sit at work station for extended periods
•Able to lift and carry 25 pounds
Citizenship Requirements
Due to the type of work here, a successful applicants must be a "U.S. Person" (US citizens, US nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).
