Part-Time Phlebotomist (22 hours/week) - San Antonio TX, 78249

Established, successful clinic currently has a Part-time opening for an experienced Certified Phlebotomist to join as part of our Health clinic team in San Antonio to work 22 hours per week, provide accurate blood draws, patient care and venipunctures. Requires minimum 2 year's experience (immediate Benefits - full list below)

Salary: $19.38/hr - $20/hr (based on experience)

Shift: Monday: 8: 45a - 4: 30p | Tuesday: 7a - 2: 30p | Thursday: 8: 45a - 3p (22 hr/wk)

Start: 1 week

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Reliable, accurate Phlebotomist with minimum 2 year's experience in clinic
    • (Plasma/Donor will not be considered due to experience needed)
  • Certified Phlebotomy Tech (CPT Certification)
  • Average of 30 - 40 sticks per day
  • Butterfly needles, Venipuncture, capillary techniques
  • Reliability, confidence, & professionalism
  • Ability to work Part-time, and start within 1 week

JOB DUTIES:
  • Preparing patients before drawing blood
  • Explaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process
  • Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas
  • Gathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage, and test tubes
  • Verifying patient information and labeling blood samples properly
  • Accurately updating patient information in the organization’s database
  • Helping patients remain calm & comfortable during blood draws
  • Working independently
