Part-Time Package Engineering Tech Specialist
Part time (20hrs) M-F 4 hrs a day 9-1
Pay: $19.33/hour

Contract position through end of June could go longer Looking for someone who is either in the process of getting their engineering degree or technical, or freshly out of school.
Will work on the manufacturing floor, lab floor, and also will have a desk.

•Proficient in Microsoft Office:
•Good writing and communication putting together evaluations of technical assessments.
•Manage multiple due dates
•Work with manufacturing facility, packaging line, testing lab Closed toe and heel shoes, tennis shoes ok.

Education, Skills & Requirements:
·Must have high school diploma. Some college education or technical degree preferred with emphasis on technical/engineering/science course work.
·Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel(managing spreadsheets, formulas, lining up cells), PowerPoint).
·Must have working proficiency in technical writing and communication.
·Must be able to manage multiple projects with general guidance from supervisor.
·Must have ability to work safely and apply standard engineering or laboratory principles to make sound scientific judgments within scope of role.

Working Conditions:

·Daily work will rotate between office desk, laboratory test equipment, manufacturing floor and warehouse.
·Requires some exposure to common manufacturing and laboratory conditions for machinery, noise, moving parts, vibration, dust and materials.
·May occasionally be exposed to heat and/or cold temperature conditions in manufacturing or laboratory work settings.
·Must be able to lift a minimum weight of 35 lbs.
·Must be able to stand, sit, walk and/or move for extended periods of time during workday.

Package Engineering Technical Specialist Will Have The Opportunity to Work On:

•Conduct extensive package laboratory testing to evaluate product and package performance in a real-world environment.
•Use software systems to assist in creation of specifications for packaging materials and components.
•Attend and perform necessary tasks at on-site manufacturing line trials.
•Build relationships with cross functional partners to support new product launches.
•Provide effective communication and documentation of work including test reports.
•Assist with troubleshooting techniques for production challenges.
•Gain exposure to in-house and contract manufacturing.
