Position: Outside Sales Manager

Location: Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex

Reports to: Director

POSITION OVERVIEW: Our client is seeking a qualified sales manager who can help keep the engine running with their own sales skills as well as leadership of a team of driven sales representatives. The ideal sales manager has deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing. We’re looking for a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills —someone with a successful track record who can inspire the same performance in others.

OBJECTIVES

 
  • Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of offerings
  • Research consumer needs and identify how our solutions address them
  • Train, motivate, and advise a team of sales representatives
  • Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and making forecasts
  • Generate leads, and establish and nurture client relationships

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 
  • Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands company's customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Manage objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Ensure the company quotas are met by holding check-ins with sales team to set objectives and monitor process
  • Establish the sales process, sales growth quotas, sales forecast, and budget
  • Maintain pipeline of target accounts by generating and qualifying new business leads
  • Conduct competitive intelligence to fully understand the marketplace
  • Create and maintain professional relationships with new, prospective and existing clients

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 
  • 5 + years of sales experience
  • Oil and Gas industry preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engaged customer relationships and effectively implement strategic concepts
  • Excellent time and territory management skills
  • Must be persuasive, sales driven, customer focused, and a team player
  • Experience working with senior executives to tackle challenging business problems
  • Strong understanding of managing client needs
  • Ability to negotiate sales and delivery contracts
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (Midland, Texas)
