Position Overview: We are seeking experienced Rotating Apparatus Technicians to join our World-Class Motor Shop located in Irving, Texas. As a leader in electrical apparatus and power systems services, our client is known for its expertise in industrial motors and wind generators. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the maintenance and repair of critical electrical equipment.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on industrial motors and wind generators.
Work with AC & DC machines, including form coil, mush, and random coils, in both motors and wind generators.
Utilize mechanical aptitude, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity for precise tasks.
Collaborate with a skilled team to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards while working on electrical equipment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of related experience in mechanical work, preferably as a Winder, Mechanic, or Machinist.
Solid mechanical aptitude and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work regular overtime, including weekends and some holidays, on either day or night shift.
Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 75 lbs with or without accommodations.
Ability to pass pre-employment and periodic unannounced drug tests.
Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on both AC & DC machines, form coil, mush, and random coils in motors and wind generators.
Completion of vocational school programs related to mechanical work.
Passion for working with hands, mechanical equipment, and electrical systems.
