Position Overview: We are seeking experienced Rotating Apparatus Technicians to join our World-Class Motor Shop located in Irving, Texas. As a leader in electrical apparatus and power systems services, our client is known for its expertise in industrial motors and wind generators. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the maintenance and repair of critical electrical equipment.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on industrial motors and wind generators.
• Work with AC & DC machines, including form coil, mush, and random coils, in both motors and wind generators.
• Utilize mechanical aptitude, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity for precise tasks.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards while working on electrical equipment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of related experience in mechanical work, preferably as a Winder, Mechanic, or Machinist.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work regular overtime, including weekends and some holidays, on either day or night shift.
• Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 75 lbs with or without accommodations.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and periodic unannounced drug tests.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working on both AC & DC machines, form coil, mush, and random coils in motors and wind generators.
• Completion of vocational school programs related to mechanical work.
• Passion for working with hands, mechanical equipment, and electrical systems.
