Lab Assistant –Research & Development

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Lab Assistant to support our Research & Development (R&D) team. This role involves assisting in laboratory experiments, preparing and analyzing samples, maintaining meticulous records, and ensuring a well-organized and compliant research environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, analytical skills, and a commitment to laboratory best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Sample Preparation & Handling
  • Prepare, process, and store samples in accordance with laboratory protocols.
  • Ensure accurate labeling and documentation to maintain sample integrity.

Experimental Support & Data Management
  • Assist scientists in executing laboratory tests and research experiments.
  • Collect, analyze, and document experimental data with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Contribute to technical reports and research presentations.

Laboratory Equipment & Safety Compliance
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to and enforce laboratory safety protocols, participating in safety training and compliance programs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab spaces to support efficient research operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Nanoscience, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline OR an associate degree/technical certification with relevant laboratory experience.
  • 1–3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a research or R&D setting and Cleanroom.

Technical Competencies
  • Strong understanding of laboratory methodologies, quality control procedures, and safety protocols.
  • High level of precision in data collection, documentation, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in basic measurement techniques and mathematical calculations.
  • Experience with scientific research and analytical software is a plus.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise scientific protocols.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, collaborating effectively with scientists, engineers, and technical staff.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced laboratory environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Commitment to laboratory safety and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with specialized analytical instruments, including:
    • FTIR and Raman Spectroscopy
    • Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) & Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX)
    • Rheology

Employment Details
  • Position Type: Temporary, Full-Time
  • Schedule: Monday –Friday, 9: 00 AM –5: 00 PM
