Industrial Electrician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical
•Electrical installation, including but not limited to conduit, cable, low and medium voltage switchgear and electrical apparatus.
•Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all types of electrical and electronic systems, both indoors and outdoors.
•Working knowledge in low voltage and medium voltage ranging from 120v up to 46kv.
•Proficiency in the use of electrical test meters: DVM’s, megger, ammeters, hipot, ductor, Doble, etc.
•Able to read and understanding electrical schematics and drawings.
•Thorough knowledge of electrical theory, experience in AC and DC power circuits.
•General knowledge on low & medium voltage circuit breakers.
•Troubleshoot, rebuild, retrofit, install, test, and repair low, medium voltage switchgear to include the teardown and assembly of breakers, contactors and related switchgear and electrical apparatus.
•Travel to all western states to perform regular PM’s and or emergency projects.
•Perform basic control wiring installation using schematics and wiring diagrams with little assistance.
•Provide periodic, on-site support for electrical equipment at our customer sites throughout the South West region.
Safety
•Demonstrate an understanding of the basic rules and procedures of first aid and CPR.
•Follow safe operating procedures of basic hand and power tools/equipment and correctly use safety equipment such as eye protection, gloves, hard hats, hearing protection and safety shoes.
•Know fire protection procedures and understand the proper use the use of portable fire extinguishers.
•Maintain personal work area in a neat and organized manner that promotes safety and efficient workmanship.
•Follow standard safety practices in performing job tasks. Recognize and call attention to improper safety practices at the work site.
General
•Initial and periodic drug testing and background checks are mandatory for this position.
•Provide and maintain a personal tool supply consistent with scope of work assigned.
•Make recommendations to improve quality, efficiency, economy and safety of operations within the company.
•Maintain company reputation and standards through individual attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Depending on previous work experience, this job may include supervisory duties as determined by the Field Service Supervisor.

•Regularly required to use specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
•Regularly exposed to a moderate noise level, dust and moving mechanical parts in the daily work environment.
•Routinely required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently required to lift and/or move 70 pounds of equipment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
•Possession of a valid Arizona Driver’s License;must be insurable by Company’s insurance carrier.
•Electrical education or certifications are a plus.
•Experience in testing and troubleshooting is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
•Prefer High School/GED Diploma
•Basic mechanical aptitude
