MEDICAL BILLER - FT - Tucson, AZ 85704

Established, award-winning Specialty Practice currently has 2 Full-time open positions for experienced Medical Billers to join as part of a permanent member of our healthcare & Oncology team in Tucson, AZ 85704, to provide accurate claims, medical billing, collections, denials, revenue cycle management (RCM) and insurance experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) & EMR knowledge (Epic or Athena) preferred. *Nicotine-free facility.*

Requires at least 3+ years of prior Medical Billing experience in healthcare settings to start within 1-2 weeks (starts with immediate Benefits - full list below)

SHIFT: Mon to Fri, 8a - 5p (Full-time, 40 hrs/wk)

PAY: $20.19/hr - $21.00/hr | Immediate Benefits (Full list below)

START: ASAP, 1 week | Feedback provided within 24-48 hours for interview

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Minimum of 3 years Medical Billing experience REQUIRED
  • Strong medical Billing skills, knowledge of claims
  • Extensive knowledge and appropriate usage of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS and modifiers
  • Ability to complete insurance verifications, eligibility, authorizations, referrals, appeals
  • Insurance Verification 
  • Insurance A/R
  • Web portals, software programs
  • EMR/EHR - Epic or Athena
  • Oncology billing experience strongly preferred 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Smoke-free facility (nicotine test required to hire)

Job Summary:
  1. Collects revenue by completing claim follow up
  2. Collections of outstanding patient accounts
  3. Monitors and pursues delinquent insurance accounts
  4. Identifies and corrects errors needed for insurance payers to adjudicate claim
  5. Extensive knowledge and appropriate usage of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS and modifiers
  6. Communicate changes in coverage guidelines, coding edits or plan participation to administration
  7. Monitor production and efficiency of claims
  8. Provide support and aide in the identification of negative trends
  9. Follow-up on claim status for insurance A/R
  10. Accountable for productivity of assigned A/R
  11. Provide analysis and status reports for various CPT, ICD 10 and HCPCS
  12. Receive and respond to patient billing inquires via phone, email and/or mail
  13. Coordinate payment with patients, provide information and explain financial policies
  14. Provide support to other departments, supervisors, managers and administration
