Medical Payment Poster | Onsite, Dallas TX 75231

Award-winning healthcare organization hiring a full-time Payment Poster of at least 2 years to handle posting all payments received to corresponding charge on patient account, locating payments, liaison activities relating to payment issues, EOBS, & credit card insurance payment processing onsite in Dallas, TX. Radiology billing experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • EMR system ROYAL
  • 2 - 3 years experience as Payment Poster in medical payment processing office
  • Radiology billing experience
  • Accounts receivable & collection experience
  • Working knowledge of medical insurance and EOB understanding

SALARY: $20/hr - $21/hr | Based on experience

SHIFT: Monday to Friday, 8a - 4: 30p or 8: 30a - 5p | 40 hr/week
JOB DUTIES
  • Posts payments received to corresponding charges on patient accounts
  • Downloads remittance reports & EOB statements corresponding to payments
  • Imports daily files, extracts remittances
  • Post all zero-pay remittance with corresponding denial/reason code timely & accurately to patient accounts
  • Ensures insurance carrier payments received are paid in accordance with contract reimbursement terms
  • Applies contractual transaction relative to the contract or penalty application
  • Ensures daily deposit worksheet is accurate, matches what was posted
  • Ensures daily downloads are in balance for each daily retro posting
  • Downloads all EOBs & denials from insurance carrier portals
  • Process fax payments, credit card payments, post to patient accounts accurately

Knowledge & Skills:
  1. Working knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Act and state/federal laws applying to collection activities.
  2. Knowledge of online payments and processing.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, & data entry skills.
  4. Confidentiality requirements regarding patients.
  5. Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  6. Must possess knowledge and understanding of managed care and insurance practices.
