Established, award-winning practice currently has an open need for a full-time Surgical Assistant II in Oral Surgery (Registered Dental Assistant/RDA) to join our oral surgery center team in Alameda, CA 94501 with potential to go fulltime, joining as a perm part of the team. Benefits start immediately!

Payrange: $23.29/hr - $33/hr | Granted based on level & years of experience

Schedule: Mon: 6/7a - 3: 30p | Wed: 6a - 5p | Fri: 6/7a - 3: 30p (no later than 4p)
  • 8 to 12 weeks with potential to go fulltime

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 6+ years of experience in Surgical or Dental Assisting
  • Completion of accredited Surgical Assistant program
  • Current CPR or BLS
  • CA Infection Control certificate (REQUIRED)
  • Dental X-ray (Pano, PA, CBCT)

Surgical Assistant:
  • Proper instrument cleaning in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols. Autoclave operation and function.
  • Surgical tray set-up. Identification of instruments used in the clinic.
  • Room set up/break down for IV anesthesia and surgery.
  • Seat patient and perform pre-op set-up. Review charts.
  • Nitrous oxide set-up.
  • Proper positioning of restraints.
  • Support airway for sedated patients. Monitor patients post anesthesia.
  • Understand emergency procedures and operation of emergency equipment.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and quarterly preventative maintenance on instruments, equipment, and headpieces.
  • Provide excellent patient care.

Experience REQUIRED:
  • Dental assisting: 1 to 6 years 
  • Oral surgery: 1 to 6 years 
  • Surgical Assistant LEVEL ll or LEVEL 3

Licenses/Certifications REQUIRED:
  • Current CPR or BLS certificate
  • CA Infectious Control certificate
  • Dental X-ray (Pano, PA, CBCT)
