Dental/Oral Claims Processor & Medical Billing Specialist -
Dental Claims Billing Specialist/Processor
Established, award-winning Oral Practice has an FT opening needed for an experienced, full-time [FT] Dental Claims Specialist and Processor to join as part of our team within our Burlingame office! The Claims Specialist will handle medical and dental billing, oral surgery claims, collections, & coding. Your expertise in medical terminology, coding, claim submission and processing, EMR and Excel will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes.
LOOKING TO START: ~ 1 to 2 weeks
SHIFT: Mon to Fri | 8hr, DAY Shift **(FLEXIBILE WITH SHIFT - Can work an 8hr shift anytime between 7a - 6p!)

Dental Claims Billing Specialist/Processor
Established, award-winning Oral Practice has an FT opening needed for an experienced, full-time [FT] Dental Claims Specialist and Processor to join as part of our team within our Burlingame office! The Claims Specialist will handle medical and dental billing, oral surgery claims, collections, & coding. Your expertise in medical terminology, coding, claim submission and processing, EMR and Excel will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes.
LOOKING TO START: ~ 1 to 2 weeks
SHIFT: Mon to Fri | 8hr, DAY Shift **(FLEXIBILE WITH SHIFT - Can work an 8hr shift anytime between 7a - 6p!)
- FT full-time, 40 hours/week guaranteed
PAYRANGE:
- $20.29/hr - $26/hr (granted Based on Experience - *The more you have, the better!)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 - 3+ years of Medical Billing and Dental claims processing experience in healthcare
- Prior experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
- Knowledgeable in Medical Claims (Dental preferred)
- Patient Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Software, i.E. Outlook
- Basic Accounting, Bookkeeping & math skills
- Understanding of industry-specific policies, such as HIPAA regulations
- Strong communication, including writing, speaking and active listening.
- Great customer service skills, including interpersonal conversation, patience and empathy.
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices
- Organization, time management and prioritization abilities
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Prepare and submit billing data & medical claims to insurance companies
- Ensuring the patient’s medical information is accurate/up to date
- Preparing bills & invoices, documenting amounts due for medical procedures & services
- Investigate the insurance claims and communicate with stakeholders
- Research the stipulations of insurance policies
- Collecting and reviewing referrals and pre-authorizations
- Monitoring and recording late payments
- Collecting and entering claim information
- Posting insurance, managing patient accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and payment procedures
