Job Description - Conformal Coat Specialist
•Reports to Wave Solder Supervisor

Overall position description:
•Performs all conformal coat activities, including hand and PVA machine coating. Assist with electronic circuit board clean and wash duties.

Essential functions of the job:
•Setup, run, and maintain PVA conformal coat machines.
•Setup, run, and maintain CCA wash machines.
•Complete production process documentation (Travelers, Trouble sheets, material request forms)
•Remove excess coating and perform manual touchups.
•Inspect assemblies for proper coating coverage and appearance based on material
•Work under pressure, meet deadlines, manage customer priorities
•Communicate with supervisor and other department leads on job requirements
•Adhere to FOD (foreign object debris) and ESD (electrostatic discharge) policies

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
•Read, write, and speak English
•Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and BOM’s
•Clearly communicate with peers, management, and customers
•Working knowledge of MS EXCEL and ERP systems
•knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes and adherence to quality policies
•Organized, and detailed oriented
•Be a fit and work cohesively in a team environment

Required education and experience:
•High school diploma and 1-2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing
•IPC-610 (latest rev) certification, preferred
•IPC-J-STD-001 certification, a plus

•Ability to stand for long periods
•Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds
•Flexible to work overtime
•Able to work with chemicals, solvents, and different coating materials
•Tolerate chemical and solvent vapor smells
•Sufficient eyesight to read component codes
•Ability to distinguish colors sufficient to discern component value
