Account Manager

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Ensure achievement of individual sales goals;understand client’s needs/expectations and properly communicate to all necessary parties;coordinate team-based approach to project completion;verify client satisfaction throughout the project.

 

COORDINATES WITH:

Systems Designer, Project Lead, Shop Manager, Purchasing Associate, Field Manager, and Systems Design Manager

 

KEY RESULT AREA’S (KRA’S):
  1. Account Manager Roles:
    • Manage client interactions: discover and exceed clients’needs, follow-up with clients regarding projects, follow-up with clients to ensure customer satisfaction, engage clients throughout relationship lifecycles
    • Determine client’s needs and requirements utilizing APEx needs analysis;conduct programming meetings with clients;coordinate or captures physical and acoustical measurements for potential projects
    • Close deals through active interactions with prospective clients
    • Achieve individual sales targets
    • Manage projects and project teams through our multi-departmental model
  2. Efficiency
    • Monitor and maintain efficiency of personal sales process to achieve .1 hours per thousand of sales value
    • Monitor progress of engineering, installation, and training to ensure client satisfaction
    • Achieve 30% win/loss ratio on opportunities
  1. Performance
    • Achieve and maintain monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals
    • Achieve 95% accuracy in sales proposals for budget and accuracy
    • Achieve and maintain a 30% average actual gross profit on sales
    • Ensure each assigned project is completed according to client standards and APEx standards
    • Participate in company improvement initiatives •Achieve 95% of prospecting targets each month/quarter/year  
    • Acquire 1 CTS RU Each Month
4. Coordination
  • Maintain accurate records in client’s CRM
  • Coordinate with system design department and support department to ensure systems meet minimum client standards and budget requirements
  • Coordinate with Sales Manager to schedule projects to company capacity
  • Coordinate with project architects/owners and system designers to meet schedules, deadlines, and to provide needed information
  • Coordinate with architects/owners and system designers to provide needed changes, information, and updates
  • Coordinate with field manager and project lead to provide information to aid in system installation
  • Coordinate with purchasing associate to provide accurate and up to date purchasing lists by purchasing deadline
  • Coordinate with accounting to provide complete, accurate, and detailed information for accurate invoicing of projects
  • Track client payments and follow up on late accounts Coordinate with client to ensure client is fully trained to use system to its full potential

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Embrace and exemplify client’s Core Values
  • 5 years’experience in selling audio, video, and lighting systems
  • Mastery of Outlook or customer database software
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote
  • Mastery of proposal generation software (i.E., Jetbuilt) and customer relationship management (CRM) software (i.E., Zoho)
  • Self-motivated
  • Team player
  • Detail oriented and conscientious
  • Strong organizational skills and office maintenance
  • Professional appearance in dress, office maintenance;must follow company dress code
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Is available to work evenings, weekends, overtime, and long hours if client service is needed
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation
  • Authorized to drive company vehicle in accordance with Fleet Safety Program
  • Willing to travel as required (US only)
  • Participate as an active member in one local association (e.G., Rotary, Chamber of Commerce)

 

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) from a four-year college in marketing or business administration or equivalent experience in sales
  • Completion of Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning
  • Contribute to the development of new production processes to improve efficiency and quality of work
  • Working knowledge of Audio, Video, Acoustics, and Theatrical Lighting Systems
