Job Description
Assembly Leadman:
Pay: $20/hour
Location: Garland, TX
Schedule: Mon-Fri, Flexibility from 6 AM to 4: 30 PM (Typical schedule is 6 AM to 2: 30 PM)
Joining a small team of 4 other Assemblers
Temp to Perm
Role and Responsibilities:
The Line Lead Operator is responsible for leading the assembly of small trailers
Successfully lead a trailer assembly line in all aspects safety, quality, cost, production, and morale.
Performs loading, unloading, and packing of products and parts
Performs basic inspection of parts for defects
Performs basic workstation housekeeping and equipment maintenance
Performs removal and installation of tooling.
Ensures and preforms safe machine operation machinery and tools such as: grinders, files, overhead crane.
Performs basic problem recognition and processes troubleshooting.
Provide coaching, feedback, accountability, and direction to line workers.
Monitor finished product to ensure standards of quality are met.
Accountable for meeting production rates. Currently 4 trailers per day.
Verbally communicate to management issues with line operation, speed, and quality.
Ensure cleanliness of the production floor and adjoining forklift lanes.
Understand and promote safety in all areas of the facility
Wear designated personal protection equipment (PPE)
Ensure line is clean and all fans/ heaters and equipment are shut off at EOD.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Comfortable using hand and power tools, manufacturing machines and test equipment to perform product assembly.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instruction diagrams.
Effective communication skills.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Minimum of 2 yearsexperience as a production lead.
Preferred Skills:
The ability to use MS Office and experience with MRP-type systems is beneficial.
Regular Duty Job: Heavy-use
Physical Activities:
Lots of standing, light walking, frequent twisting, turning, stooping/bending, squatting, repetitive hand/wrist use and forearm rotation
Lifting of up to 50 lbs, 1/3 of time
Environment:
Heat & cold based on time of year
Pay: $20/hour
